1. What is the route of Mexico's Mayan Train?
According to reports shared by the official website of the Mayan Train, this is a project that will cover more than 1,500 kilometers and 5 states. It will connect Chiapas with Tabasco, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatán.
In fact, the route has been designed to link several strategic destinations, covering both already popular tourist areas such as Chichen Itza, as well as those that are not so well known, but undoubtedly have immense potential to stand out.

2. What are the sections of the Mayan Train?

The trip starts in the city of Palenque, Chiapas and passes through 4 stations to reach Escárcega, Campeche, a city that has enchanted its visitors for its history and warm hospitality.

Continuing our journey, we will leave Campeche behind and enter Yucatán. Our starting point is Calkiní all the way to Izamal, a city known for its interesting mix of pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary influences.

Section 4 - From Yucatán to Quintana Roo
This is the second-largest route that the Mayan Train will travel, with approximately 257 km of distance. It will take us from Izamal to the refreshing waters of the Mexican Caribbean in Cancun.

Section 5 North - Quintana Roo

Section 5 South - Quintana Roo
Moving into the south of Quintana Roo, the trip continues from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. A destination widely known for its Mayan ruins facing the Caribbean Sea and other neighboring areas of interest, such as the Coba Archaeological Zone.

Section 6 - Quintana Roo

Section 7 - From Quintana Roo to Campeche
